About Tianyu Wang
Tianyu Wang is an innovative artist and architectural designer based in New York City. He has a keen interest in the intersections of architecture, art, and science. Tianyu operates with a firm belief in the power of the "big image", utilizing form-finding techniques while meticulously attending to the smallest details. His goal is to craft spatial qualities that resonate with the audience and evoke an emotional response.
Having gained a Master of Architecture degree from the esteemed Columbia University in the United States in 2020, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Wuhan University in China in 2017, Tianyu's educational foundation sets him apart. The skills and knowledge acquired during his studies have proven invaluable in his professional career.
After graduation, Tianyu joined Workspace11 and Norman Mooney Studio as a lead designer. His standout contributions include the development of the “Bloom Series” for Norman Mooney Art, and leading the design for the ornamental metal scope for the award-winning architectural project: “Powerhouse Art”.
Tianyu’s commitment to his craft extends beyond the architectural sphere. He continues to explore his artistic expression through various mediums such as drawings and installations. His recent drawing series "Tension No.1" has gained considerable acclaim, having been selected for display at the prestigious 25th annual 'Works on Paper 2023' exhibition at the Long Beach Island Foundation.
Through his diverse works, Tianyu Wang continues to leave a distinctive mark on both the architectural and artistic world, combining aesthetic appeal with scientific precision to create timeless pieces of work.
